The sticker tells the story: Philatelic mail... who could have doubt it judging from the quantity of stamps and their arrangement on the envelope, each one neatly cancelled with an individual postmark?
Stamps left to right, top to bottom
In taglio printed 2.5 krone stamp, part of a set of three (2,5; 2.9; 4.6 krone) issued on 26APR1988, celebrating military jubilees. This particular stamp commemorates the 300 years of Military Engineering in Norway, it seems and is illustrated with a image of construction works for a fortification.
2.5 krone stamp part of a two stamp set (2.5; 4 Krone) issued on 27MAY1986, dedicated to "sister cities". The stamp is illustrated with a painting evocative of the city of Moss framed on the top half by the coats of arms of Moss (at te very top centre) and of Moss' sister cities; Blönduós, in Iceland; Horsens in Denmark; Karlstadt in Sweden and Nokia in Finland.
Domestic 20 g stamp, part of a set of 6 (2x domestic 20g; 2 x Europe 20g; 2 x rest of the world 20g), dedicated to "Norway memories" issued on 21APR2023. the stamp is illustrated with a photograph of an aurora borealis over Ytresand Beach, in the Lofoten islands.
Coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara) is a member of the Asteraceae family that is native to Europe and parts of Western and central Asia.
The stamp illustrated with blooming coltsfeet is part of a set of five definitives, issued on 02JAN1997, dedicated to wild flowers.
Norway's Posthorn stamps have been around since the beginning of the 20th century. The 40 øre is part of the 1978 issued set, dating of 15FEB1978, which comprised 6 values (40; 50; 60; 70; 80;90 øre).
The postmark on each stamp indicates that the cover was mailed from the Skien, the third largest Norwegian town, with a population of over 55,000 inhabitants.
