To open my mailbox like someone opening a surprise box and to feel the pleasure of discovery unleashed by an envelope decorated with stamps.
To be part of the world and also to discover it this way, with the help of those who share this vision.

The 70th anniversary of the Yad Vashem, the Israeli memorial complex honouring the Jewish victims of one of the most hideous crimes humanity has self-perpetrated against a part of itself.

Maybe one very distant day, in Gaza, in a free and independent state, living in harmony side by side with another, maybe even sharing the same city as Capital, one such memorial will be also erected, remembering those that had no place to go, had no food to eat, had no access to basic commodities, had no access to basic health care and were constantly told to move or risk being obliterated from the face of the Earth....echoes of ghettoes.....will anyone ever kneel in remembrance and shame, some decades from now?

Horror comes in many shapes and forms: through the knifes, guns, kidnaps, rapes of alienated terrorists or the bombs and bullets of regular armies that care not for who they target.

I am proud to have a fellow Countryman that in spite of all the pressure rose to his responsibilities. Thank you Mr. Secretary General!

And thanks Alex, for the  cover, and for the opportunity of posting it here on the day of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights!
