___________________________________________________________________________,
It took more than 5 months for this card to travel from Moscow to my place, but it eventually got here, большое спасибо, Olga.
The stamp is illustrated with his effigy and one of the Lavochkin La-5 fighters he used during WW2, in which he downed 64 enemy aircraft.
The 45 Ruble stamp, commemorates the 200th anniversary of the birth of Konstantin Ushinsky (1823-1871) , a Russian educator who is considered to be the founder of scientific pedagogy in Russia, and the the author of "The Human As a Subject of Education: Pedagogical Anthropology".
I'll quote direct from wikipedia for I think this paragraph does convey the importance of his work quite well: "...the subject of education is a person, so it is impossible to achieve results in education without using the results of the "anthropological sciences": philosophy, political economy, history, literature, psychology, anatomy, physiology. According to Ushinsky, "Pedagogical experience without science is equivalent to witchcraft in medicine."
The stamp was issued on 10MAR2023 and it is illustrated with the effigy of Ushinsky with an image of (presumably) him teaching in a classroom.
Te postmark was issued at Moscow, Russia's capital.
