A treat I offered myself. The funny thing is that I can't remember whereto did I send the request... I have a faint recollection of having sent an IRC and a self-addressed envelope.. and it was indeed  returned, so a great many thanks to the kind people at Scott Base who not only filled the envelope with a lot of nice cachets and penguins, but also completed my address, for I had forgotten to add "Portugal", to it.

Another interesting piece for the collection! Great!

The cover with the Cachet of Scott Base, dated of the 20th would be dispatched through Christchurch, New Zealand's second largest city, on the South Island, on the 24th.

The back of the cover features the cachet of  "ANDRILL (Antarctic Drilling Project), a multinational  (Germany, Italy, New Zealand and USA) initiative to investigate the climate and tectonic history of Antarctica by recovering deep sediment cores from the sedimentary basins beneath the floating McMurdo/Ross Ice Shelf (RIS)" (Source NASA)

The Ross Dependency 3.80 Dollar stamp featuring a helicopter transporting what looks like an antenna of some sort, is part of a 4 stamp set issued on 02NOV2020, themed on "Science on Ice", while the 90 cent New Zealand self-adhesive definitive was issued on 03JUL2002 as part of a definitive issue themed on scenic coastlines. The regular gummed issue comprised six values, while the self-adhesive version only covered 3 values (40 c; 90 c; 1.5 Dollars).
