To open my mailbox like someone opening a surprise box and to feel the pleasure of discovery unleashed by an envelope decorated with stamps.
To be part of the world and also to discover it this way, with the help of those who share this vision.

Another infrequent visitor to this blog, but the more so welcome. Thank you Kang!

The two 430 Wons stamps used on the cover are part of a 4x430 bloc set issued on 24APR2024, showcasing South Korean Pavilions.

The same 4 Pavilions that feature in the stamps, albeit with different illustrations, I believe,  also feature in another four stamp set, in horizontal format, issued on the same date, and with higher facial values.

The Postmark hails from Seoul, the Capital.

  1. A beautiful cover for a rare country (I mean, rare in my mailbox!).

  2. Indeed. Those stamps are lovely. Pity the envelope got a bit wet in transit, precisely on the corner where the stamps were applied. Nothing really serious, but unfortunate, nonetheless. And yes, not a very common mail origin.
